Some of the most enjoyable times of my life have been in out-of-doors. It's not always the most spectacular landscapes that draw my attention, but the ordinary things like the edge of a marshy meadow, or invitation of a trail turning the corner or leading uphill. It is my perception of the meadow or trail at a particular moment that I want to express to the viewer. This ability to capture and pass on through my pastel art, using texture and color, is a challenge always before me.
