I was on a day tour in Israel. I was about to ascend a mountain much like a mesa in
New Mexico. In the desert landscape, I saw an evaporating Dead Sea. This area
held ruins dating from the second century BCE. Masada is the second most visited site
in Israel. By the entrance to the site, I was surprised to see vendors selling
pomegranate juice squeezed from very large fruit.
