This building was part of the first settlement in Calgary on the
banks of the Bow River. I wanted to make this painting with grays,
whites, and the dark color of the building, fence, and trees emerging
from the light color of snow. Snow isn't always white, when you paint it,
nor is the sky always blue, or gray. These are always a combination of colors.
